This time I used Grasshopper more like a modeling tool to support a direct NURBS modeling process, to recreate the distinctive rim design of the stunning Mercedes-Benz Vision EQ Silver Arrow Concept.
While from the final result it's not apparent, Grasshopper was heavily used in the modeling process to create all the different mechanical components, the spokes as well as the different surfaces starting from simple profile curves.
This enabled to fine-tune the model without much rebuilding and will allow to create similar designs if needed.
The Grasshopper definition also takes care of creating the different solid fillets and generating the meshes for final export operation.
